Authenticity on Social Media


We’re living in very interesting times. In some way or another, all of us are impacted or touched by social media. Even if you personally no longer have any accounts or don’t utilize the various platforms chances are each day you encounter someone who does.

Do you notice how often we reference Instagram or Facebook? It has become one of our top tools for sharing information. Originally created to be a place to connect with your friends and family; a place to share life events, thoughts, and content. The highlight reel of your life, if you will. Quickly we’ve seen how the original mission behind these top platforms has changed, causing more stress than reward.

In my latest segment with Living808 on KHON2 I share about how to remain authentic on Instagram and Facebook while also retaining some sort of autonomy. Not everything was meant to be put online for the world to see. But if it’s out there, at least make sure it’s true to you.
