Join us for an afternoon of exploring herbs and flower essences that support our transition into spring. We will be working with plant medicinals that can move out the stagnancy and hibernation energy of winter to welcome the tender new energy of spring in the body, mind, and energy body.

Spring season is about soft unfurling, ascending energy, bringing thoughts, ideas, projects, and ways of being out of the depths and incubation of winter and into the world to bud be nourished, and bloom. It’s also about bringing movement to the things that might have settled in the body over the winter months with fresh and sour foods that tone and detoxify the mental, physical, energetic, and emotional body for a reset.

Themes for exploration included bitter and sour foods, plus the wood element which represents newness, growth, change and taking root.  Spring invites us to tend our anger. Where do we need to say “no” so that we can embody our “yes”? What wisdom does our anger have for us about the boundaries we need to see our dreams take shape?

In Traditional Chinese medicine, Spring is the season of the liver & the gallbladder. The liver (yin) is concerned with the planning, the flow of thoughts, ideas, and digestion from the emotional down to the cellular level. The gallbladder (yang) is about executing, decision-making, speaking the mind, and carrying out the flow of the liver.

This is a co-facilitated experience where I will lead you through connecting to the land — the beautiful ahupuaʻa of Lanikepu (Waimea) and guide you through a gentle meditation and breathwork practice. Phelicia will share her wisdom and connection to plant medicinals, offering insight into ways to work with these medicines to support our new season. She will also be providing the materials to make your own tincture. There will be plenty of time for creation, discussion, and integration.

In reverence to the plant medicinals that support our well-being and unique journeys, we look forward to gathering with you.
